The experimental forecasts made on these webpages reflect many years of scientific inquiry by researchers at PSL.

The linear inverse modeling method has been actively developed by Cecile Penland and Prashant Sardeshmukh. The MRF forecasts have kindly been provided by Jeff Whitaker.

Without realtime access to NCEP operational analyses and forecasts these webpages could not exist. NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis data has been used to train our model.

The style of these webpages has been inspired by the TOGA-TAO realtime data display developed at PMEL. JavaScript code developed for that website has been used to fit the needs of our experimental forecasts. The image animations used on some pages were built using the DynAPI cross-browser DHTML suite initiated by Dan Steinman.
