Roger Pulwarty named AGU Natural Hazards Focus Group 2016 Gilbert F. White Lecturer

The American Geophysical Union recently announced that NOAA's Roger Pulwarty, a Senior Science Advisor for Climate and Director of the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), has been selected for the Natural Hazards Focus Group's 2016 Gilbert F. White Distinguished Lecture Award. This award is given annually to an individual "for original contributions to the basic knowledge of natural hazards and/or disaster risks". The lecture is presented by the awardee at the AGU Fall Meeting.
