Number of Observations per Day for International Surface Pressure Databank Version 4.7



Surface pressure data from the ISPD v4.7 was used as input to the 20CRv3 Reanalysis Project. The count of all available data is mapped here.

The plots have summed all the counts for a year in every 2 degree latitude/longitude box and divided by 365 to get an average counts per day with a maximum of 24 per day shown on the map.

The NetCDF file is 2x2 degree bins centered on the lat/lon given in the file. All observation data can be found in the ISPDv47 HDF5 files at NCAR.
