Meet David Lee

The Physical Sciences Laboratory welcomes its new Administrative Officer, David Lee, who began working at PSL on September 20th. David comes to PSL with a significant amount of experience, most recently serving as the Administrative Officer for the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Coastal Plains Water, Soil and Plant Research Center in Florence SC. Prior to his position with ARS, he served as a Training Specialist with the Coast Guard's Maritime Law Enforcement Academy, and before that he was a Plant Manager for Gable Forestry Products. David also held management positions with the South Carolina Waterfowl Association Eduction Center and GoldKist, Inc.

David retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in the US Coast Guard after 21 years of service. He served as Officer in Charge, Executive Officer and many other support and operational roles at various military assignments. During his military career, he earned many personal commendations and unit awards. He has traveled extensively around the US and the world while serving in the Coast Guard.

David has been married for 29 years and has two sons and one daughter. He resided in Manning, South Carolina before moving to Colorado and enjoys the current interests of his children, motorcycling and various outdoor sporting activities.
